Engagement Shoots | Audrey & Raymond

Audrey and Raymond are getting married in Johannesburg in December. They live in Cape Town and wanted to have some photographs taken on the beach with Table Mountain in the background to celebrate their engagement. Of course Blouberg was the perfect place for this!

We took the photographs on a Sunday afternoon…and with the winter here in Cape Town we very very lucky to have wonderful weather! It was a nice, warm afternoon and the wind wasn’t blowing at all (which is a once in a blue moon experience at Blouberg).

Engagement Shoots | Storm & Dante

Storm and Dante booked me almost a year ago. Their wedding is just around the corner… I can not believe how time flies! We wanted to get a nice and early morning feel with these photos… but because the sun rises very early in summer there was only one way of achieving this result: get up early! :) Luckily they are used to getting up early in the mornings, Storm is a school teacher and can function very well without much sleep!

Rene and Werner is a wonderful couple whose wedding I’m shooting in just a bit more than a week. This is another engagement shoot (and wedding soon to come) that I shot for Big Day Big Picture. When they first told me that they wanted to go to Blouberg Beach for the engagement shoot I was a bit worried that the wind would spoil our fun… When we got there I realised I had absolutely nothing to worry about: Rene’s cheerful personality really rubs off on everyone around her, and that conquers all weather-challenges.

Engagement Shoots | Rene & Lloyd

What a fun Sunday afternoon we had! René, Lloyd and I headed out on 12 December to take their engagement photographs in Bo-Kaap. While everyone else was taking their Sunday afternoon nap, we were enjoying a sunny and relaxing stroll, looking around for colourful places to take some photographs.

René and Lloyd is such a cute couple – they are so full of energy and joy. While spending an afternoon with them, there was one thing that really stood out for me. I know that their families and friends can second me when I say that they are definitely best friends. They constantly make each other laugh and their laughter is so contagious, that eventually, everyone around them is laughing with them.
