Sampie and Martinette are blessed with three beautiful children. Derik is the eldest – the sweet responsible one. Hugo is the middle child – the entertainer with a huge imagination. And Helene is the newest edition to the family and the cutest little girl. All three children are very happy and spontaneous and I’m convinced that they are this way because their parents love them to bits! This love rubs off on the kids… the boys are so protective of Helene! While we were doing the photo shoot they held her hand and walked with her, carried her when she had to climb stairs, and even tickled her when she had to smile for photographs.

Originally we only planned to take some photographs of the kids, but we were lucky enough to have Sampie work in the area that day. He had a chance to pop in for about 10 minutes so I could take a quick family photo of them.

Since we haven’t taken any photos of Helene since she started walking yet we decided to get a few extra photos of her and I think they turned out great! It’s always so exciting to see a little kid start walking. She was so excited about running around on her own in Kirstenbosch, it was impossible not to capture the moment!
