Family Portraits | Warren, Marjory and Zara (Kirstenbosch)

What a happy family! That’s what I kept on thinking the whole time I was photographing Warren and Marjory and their little girl. We went to Kirstenbosch to take these photographs, and once the shoot was over I had to leave to be somewhere else. But Warren (despite of the fact that the Super 15 final was on in an hour’s time) and Marjory decided to stay and make a family day out of it.

Marjory is a spontaneous joyful mommy and not afraid to throw Zara around (this little girl might need to go sky diving one day to get her adrenalin fix because roller coasters might not do anything for her after playing with her mommy). And then there is Warren…such a softhearted man! When Zara is in his arms the sky can fall but she will feel safe.  She is daddy’s little girl, and very loved.  (And she’s got so much hair for such a tiny little person – very cute!)

Something that really stood out for me on the day was the fact that Warren and Marjory didn’t sing “Barney” or “Teletubbies” to make Zara smile… They sang a song that they made up themselves about how much Jesus loves her. SO sweet!
