Family Portraits | Warren, Marjory and Zara (Kirstenbosch)

What a happy family! That’s what I kept on thinking the whole time I was photographing Warren and Marjory and their little girl. We went to Kirstenbosch to take these photographs, and once the shoot was over I had to leave to be somewhere else. But Warren (despite of the fact that the Super 15 final was on in an hour’s time) and Marjory decided to stay and make a family day out of it.

Family Portraits | Morne, Surienne and Zack

Surienne is a very close friend of mine and so special to me. Recently we decided to take some photographs of her but we couldn’t let the opportunity pass without taking a few of her and her hubby and their gorgeous little boy. Surienne has a very soft heart and a passion for our Creator that shines through her eyes. It makes everyone around her feel comfortable and loved. Not only is she a beautiful woman, she is also a wonderful mother. Zack only has eyes for his mommy and is going to be such a ladies’ man when he grows up!

Family Portraits | Sampie & Martinette

Sampie and Martinette are blessed with three beautiful children. Derik is the eldest – the sweet responsible one. Hugo is the middle child – the entertainer with a huge imagination. And Helene is the newest edition to the family and the cutest little girl. All three children are very happy and spontaneous and I’m convinced that they are this way because their parents love them to bits! This love rubs off on the kids… the boys are so protective of Helene! While we were doing the photo shoot they held her hand and walked with her, carried her when she had to climb stairs, and even tickled her when she had to smile for photographs.

Portraits | Zara

The first time I photographed Zara she was only a tiny little sleeping baby with no intension of waking up to give us a smile. Now she has grown to be a beautiful little princess (that’s what her family calls her, Princess Zara) with so much joy and energy that we couldn’t really get her to sit still! She is such a curious little girl, wanting to see everything. She just runs (yes, no walking…just running! :)) from one place to the next to explore and discover the world around her. Soooo cute and loved by so many people…

Family Portraits | Nadia & Minoa

Nadia and Minoa came to me for a portrait session. They are entering a mother & child competition and are definitely going to win as far as I’m concerned.

Nadia is one of those lucky few who can do anything in front of the camera and still look stunning! She worked really hard to get Minoa to look as happy as he does. She swung him around, tickled him and pulled faces and somehow she still managed to look like she stepped out of a beauty magazine.

Minoa is such a sweet (and busy) little boy. He mostly kept on running up and down the room fetching teddies to hug during the photo session… He just woke up from his nap before they arrived, so I guess that’s where he got all the energy from!
